Guru Pooja at Mahanama

The Past Teachers' Association of Mahanama College presented a dancing extravaganza tiled 'Guru Pooja' performed by distinguished old Mahanamian and globally renowned dancing Icon Chandana Wickramasinghe and his troupe recently.

This association was established in 1989 by a few retired teachers who have served at Mahanama College. The key objectives of the association include welfare of the members, maintaining good relationship with present activities of the school and extending a helping hand to present social needs.

Since the membership fee is insufficient to carry out all the above activities, the past teachers decided to stage a dancing saga named "GURU POOJA" with the help of the old boys association to enhance the economic position of the association.

A book on Mahanama College written by past principal K. N. P. de Silva was also launched during the event.
